How the free game analysis works
- Find your games. Choose Chess.com or Lichess and type your username. We load your public games straight from their official public APIs. You never give us a password.
- Pick a game. Your newest games are at the top. Press Load older games to go further back.
- Learn from it. Stockfish 19 lite checks every position. You get each player's accuracy, an advantage graph, and a label for every move, from brilliant to blunder, with the better move shown as an arrow.
Everything runs in your own browser, so the analysis is free and you can analyze as many games as you like. Played a game somewhere else? Paste its PGN above.
What the move labels mean
- !!Brilliant: the best move, and it sacrifices material.
- !Best: the engine's top choice.
- +Strong: almost as good as the best move.
- =Decent: a reasonable move, but something better was there.
- ≡Theory: a well-known opening move from our opening lessons.
- ?!Inaccuracy: gives away a small part of your advantage.
- ?Mistake: a clear error that changes the game.
- ??Blunder: a serious error, like losing a piece or allowing checkmate.

Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes. The analysis runs on your own device with Stockfish 19 lite, so there's no cost and no daily limit. The site is supported by ads.
Do you need my Chess.com or Lichess password?
No. We only read games that are already public, using the official public APIs. Never type your password anywhere on CastleEarly.
Why can't I find my username?
Check the spelling and make sure you picked the right site. Closed or banned accounts can't be loaded. Only standard chess games are shown (not Chess960 or other variants).
Is the analysis as strong as on other sites?
Stockfish 19 lite is far stronger than any human player, so it reliably finds your mistakes and the better moves. It uses a smaller network than the full Stockfish, so in very deep positions its numbers can differ slightly from other tools.
Do you save my games?
No. Your games go from Chess.com or Lichess straight to your browser and are analyzed there. We only remember the last username you typed, in your own browser, so you don't have to type it again.
